Bookstore Spotlight:

In her continuing
effort to aid writers and readers, Delores Thornton announces the Marguerite
Press/Book Nook. In addition to book sales, the Marguerite Press Book Nook,
will host signings, discussions, and other meetings. Located in a
private area inside the One Stop Laundry (3760 North Emerson Avenue), the
book nook has ample parking, and is situated in a literary community. It is
just blocks away from multi-service centers, churches, and the beautiful new
East 38th Street Library.
We here at Marguerite Press are busy anticipating our grand opening in early
2004. Stay tuned for more details!

Year End Review for 2003!
Marguerite Press enjoyed a very productive year for 2003. Look at our

January:
We launched Marguerite Press Promo, an entity to aid authors and other

March:
The world received "Anybody Seen Junebug"?, the newest novel from Delores
Thornton.
March:
Delores Thornton became the literary expert on

does book reviews, poetry spotlights, and author interviews.
April:
Selected shows from our "Around 2 It" radio broadcast from
www.bookcrazy.net
appeared on www.aalbc.com.
September:
Marguerite Press hosted the "Second Annual Literary Thing Featuring The Small
Press Awards". The affair had a panel of 15 authors and poets from across
the Midwest. The Souvenir Journal/Catalog shipped to bookstores, book clubs, and
libraries nationwide.
October:
The Around 2 It, "Second Annual Indy Essay Contest" introducing the "Annette L.
Lewis Award of Excellence". Open to schoolchildren in grades 2 through 12, the
affair was well attended.
October:
Delores became a columnist at Oneswan Productions (www.janetteowens.com),
discussing the craft of writing in the monthly newsletter.
November:
Marguerite Press celebrated seven years of service to the literary world.
